Meeting on 23.10.2019
We started our meeting with a short introduction from Luis what we are planning today. For today, we intend to work on or extend the questions for our survey. We also called the people from Salo to work out the tasks together.
Luis gave a presentation at our Reading circle to explain Communication and Information Management to us.
Through this presentation, Luis has introduced us to the ways of communication and the methods.
The commutation plan structure can be described by these 5 words:
  • WHO               is getting informed
  • WHAT              information is needed
  • WHEN             is the information needed
  • BY WHO          will the information be transferred
  • HOW               will the information be transferred

After his presentation, we discussed it together and came up with further ideas.
Following our brief discussion, Nickolas held his part of the presentation, which gave us an overview of the risks in projects and businesses.

The Salo group worked on the poster for some time, we did some changes and gave it some design. Then we uploaded it so everyone could see it.

Together we created a document in which we listed the questions for our survey. We also thought about how we would like to record the answers of the interviewed people for our Face to Face survey.
The people from Salo designed the questions for the Face to Face Survey, while in Turku we discussed the questions for the online survey.

For next week, Salo group will have the poster showing on Thursday and Turku on Wednesday. Our customer Lounea has to be invited for the event in Salo. UPDATE  Our customer will not be able to come to the poster showing event in Salo

Report 11.12. – Project Hatchery

For our last meeting we all met together in Salo to present our final presentation for Riiku, our customer. Since we intend to illustrate the surveys with the fetch of pie charts, we divided the questions from the online survey among ourselves and worked on them. The presentation was completed, and the data of our analysis were entered to make everything illustrative. Then Nicholas and Louis held our last presentation for Lounea and presented our results to the customer. The presentation can also be found under Files. We also compared the answers from the face to face survey and the online survey, where there were many differences such as what kind of smart home devices the respondents used. So, we also had a good opportunity to compare the data from their existing customers and from the face to face-survey group. At the end of our project we received a positive feedback from Riiku, our results turned out as hoped. -Sumeyye

Project Hatchery – Report 27.11.

On the 27 th of November, we met 1 hour before the hatchery project finals started to rehearse the presentation with everyone, from Salo and Turku. We went through the presentation once more and showed our data from our surveys with the help of the “human bar chart”. We had the opportunity of seeing the presentations from other teams, and stayed there to compare their presentations and give some feedback. After the presentation, we met at the campus to categorize the data of the face-to-face survey more precisely and to illustrate them. This will make it easier for us to present the data we found out for our benchmarking in a better way to our customers. Louis, Julia and David worked on the presentation adding all the outcomes for the customer to see them easier next week. And the rest of the team members worked on the illustration of the findings.

Report 02.10. Project hatchery For our meeting on the 2nd of October, everyone (Salo and Turku group) gathered in Lemminkäisenkatu for discussing the project plan. The session started with Louis giving a brief introduction about last week ’s meeting, and then proceeded with David talking about the Project Plan documents that the Salo team worked on last week à why? What? When? How? How much? Together we discussed the content for our project plan. We divided the group into 3 different teams to work on different tasks about the Project Plan. Students in Salo worked on the Project Organization and Implementation After the 3 teams were done with their part, we read out the content and made some changes where it was necessary.
