 Project hatchery meeting Salo - 25.09.2019

After the reading circle we had a phone call with the other group at 2pm. Firstly, every group explained something about the reading circles. After this Arvi explained us something about the presentation of last week and some important deadlines. The presentation is going to be on the 27th of November. Tareq made the twitter account (@HatcheryProject) because we have to start it quickly. Then we assigned some roles. Louis will be the project manager. David will be the secretary in Salo for the rest of the project. In Turku it will be decided next week. Arvi told that he can be responsible for the poster. Nicholas will be in charge for the blog. Then we discussed about the project plan and how we will create it. The Salo group is in charge for some questions: Why, what, when, how, how much. The Turku group will think about what the project plan includes. We are going to compare the results next week.

For our last meeting we all met together in Salo to present our final presentation for Riiku, our customer. Since we intend to illustrate the surveys with the fetch of pie charts, we divided the questions from the online survey among ourselves and worked on them. The presentation was completed, and the data of our analysis were entered to make everything illustrative. Then Nicholas and Louis held our last presentation for Lounea and presented our results to the customer. The presentation can also be found under Files. We also compared the answers from the face to face survey and the online survey, where there were many differences such as what kind of smart home devices the respondents used. So, we also had a good opportunity to compare the data from their existing customers and from the face to face-survey group. At the end of our project we received a positive feedback from Riiku, our results turned out as hoped. -Sumeyye

Project Hatchery – Report 27.11.

On the 27 th of November, we met 1 hour before the hatchery project finals started to rehearse the presentation with everyone, from Salo and Turku. We went through the presentation once more and showed our data from our surveys with the help of the “human bar chart”. We had the opportunity of seeing the presentations from other teams, and stayed there to compare their presentations and give some feedback. After the presentation, we met at the campus to categorize the data of the face-to-face survey more precisely and to illustrate them. This will make it easier for us to present the data we found out for our benchmarking in a better way to our customers. Louis, Julia and David worked on the presentation adding all the outcomes for the customer to see them easier next week. And the rest of the team members worked on the illustration of the findings.

Report 02.10. Project hatchery For our meeting on the 2nd of October, everyone (Salo and Turku group) gathered in Lemminkäisenkatu for discussing the project plan. The session started with Louis giving a brief introduction about last week ’s meeting, and then proceeded with David talking about the Project Plan documents that the Salo team worked on last week à why? What? When? How? How much? Together we discussed the content for our project plan. We divided the group into 3 different teams to work on different tasks about the Project Plan. Students in Salo worked on the Project Organization and Implementation After the 3 teams were done with their part, we read out the content and made some changes where it was necessary.
